Generally I like to elaborate a bit more about a cocktail or recipe before I feature it, but this is an exception. As far as I know, this is the oldest cocktail recipe that I have made, dating back to 1895.

Irish Cocktail #1
Servings: 1
Ingredients
- 1 ounce Irish whiskey
- 1 ounce sweet vermouth
- 3 dashes orange bitters
- 2 dashes acid phosphate
Instructions
- Combine ingredients in mixing glass filled with ice.
- Stir until chilled and strain into cocktail glass.
